The event, held within the framework of the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" program organized by "Green ASAN," was initiated by ASAN volunteers and supported by the Ministry of Science and Education, Salyan District Executive Authority, "Azersun Holding," and the Azerbaijan Paper and Cardboard Production Plant. The goal of the event is to promote the recycling of paper waste, support the protection of trees, preserve nature, and maintain ecological balance.

It should be noted that the Paper Recycling Plant operating under the Azerbaijan Paper and Cardboard Production Plant gives a new "breath" to paper waste collected from all regions of the country, turning it back into paper. Thus, the facility makes a significant contribution to the protection of nature not only in Azerbaijan but worldwide.

The event was attended by Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sevindik Hatamov, Head of Salyan District Executive Authority, the General Director of the Azerbaijan Paper and Cardboard Production Plant, various public figures from different districts, and other guests.

The campaign featured the presentation of a "Green Mountain" made from over 150 tons of paper waste. ASAN volunteers and schoolchildren showcased their handmade items from waste materials, a cultural corner was exhibited, and various musical performances were held.

Additionally, winners in three categories of the "Idea Competition" were awarded, and certificates of appreciation were presented to various organizations.

Citizens, schools, institutions, and organizations from over 30 cities and districts of Azerbaijan participated in the 6th "Green Mountain" eco-social campaign. Over the 9 years of the program, more than 2000 tons of paper waste have been sent for recycling. This has prevented the cutting down of over 34,000 trees, with more than 400 ecological projects and over 100 cleaning and tree-planting campaigns conducted.
