INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL DEVOTED TO GREAT COMPOSER’S 75TH ANNIVERSARY STARTS IN BAKU

World known composer, national artist of the USSR and Azerbaijan, prof. Arif Melikov’s presentation of Symphony No. 8 “Eternity” dedicated to national leader Heydar Aliyev was held. Disc Set prepared with the organizational support of “Friends of Azerbaijan Culture Foundation” and financial support of “Azersun Holding” attracted a lot of attention of the participants.

Opening ceremony of International Music Festival devoted to the 75th anniversary of Arif Melikov, outstanding Azerbaijani composer, national artist of the USSR and Azerbaijan was arranged.

Festival started on November 19 in Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall from the performances of Uzeyir Hajibeyov Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra and Azerbaijan State Choral Group.

Deputy prime-minister Elchin Efendiyev, Minister of Tourism and Culture Abulfaz Garayev, well-known cultural figures, “Azersun Holding” management and other representatives of society participated in the event.

International Festival devoted to anniversary of national artist of the USSR Arif Melikov will continue till November 30. At the festival works of Great Composer will be presented to music-lovers.

At the opening ceremony of International Festival presentation of Disc Set of Symphony No. 8 “Eternity” dedicated by the master to the national leader Heydar Aliyev was held.

Disc set prepared with the organizational support of “Friends of Azerbaijan Culture Foundation” and financial support of “Azersun Holding” attracted a lot of attention of the participants. At the address on the presentation Arif Melilkov expressed his gratitude to the event organizers.
