Azersun Holding Holiday celebrates the International Day of Children's Protection

June 1, 2006

Azersun Holding hosted a special holiday event for children with special needs in honour of June,1, the International Day of Children's Protection.

The celebrations got off the ground in the Community Hall featuring the exhibition of the paintings and art work produced by children with special needs. The exhibition was held in the Community Hall and exposed a number of children's art works exploiting various topics, including love of the country, world peace and brotherhood.

The tradition of this kind of exhibitions hails from Turkey, where April, 23 is officially celebrated every year as The National Sovereignty and Children's Holiday. Azersun Holding borrowed the tradition and brought it to Azerbaijani lands. Despite the different severity level of disabilities, the children gathered in the Community Hall beamed while their works were presented displaying a remarkable optimism, creativity and artistic skills. Later around 180 children chipped in a special entertainment program, consisting of nice upbeat music. The young participants had a lovely time watching an exhilirating circus performance by the troupe led by Alakbar ami.

The games with clowns, poem contests and magician tricks left a deep impression on children. The program finished with the company staff offering the children special gift packs.
