SUGAR MILL STARTS TO RECEIVE SUGAR BEETS

Imishli sugar mill has already started on sugar beet purchase campaign in the season.  In the frame of the campaign the mill managers have also held meetings with beet cultivators.  

The opening ceremony of 2009-2010 sugar beet purchase campaign was held on September 27, 2009 in Imishli sugar mill.

The Ceremony, participated by numerous visitors, was kicked-off with speech by Yakup Hezer,  Mugan Regional Coordinator.  He said: “I feel very happy that I work in Imishli sugar mill, and that I know you. I take pride in it. Our goal is to reach out yet higher targets through close cooperation with laborers, employees and managers of the company.  Let us hope that the mill will attain further heights of prosperity in future.  Processing of approximately 180 000 tons of beet during the campaign will last 60-70 days. İ wish that such commencements would be of benefit to Azerbaijan and kindly request that you will accept my sincere love and respect"

Then director of the mill, Ismail Muslimzade took the floor and welcomed the participants. He said: "Allow  me to offer you my congratulations on the occasion of 2009-2010 sugar beet purchase  campaign, and express my thanks  to farmers who cultivate sugar beets. I am glad at the fact that planted beetroot and those who have cultivated them have yielded rich harvest. That, we produce sugar from locally cultivated beet makes all of us feel proud and satisfied. I wish that we successfully complete the beet purchase campaign"

At the end of the event, prizes, in form of sugar bags, were handed out to the farmers, who had delivered their first harvest to the mill. Then the sugar beet purchase campaign was launched   and trucks filled with beet started to move on to the scales.

It should be noted that this year has marked the start of the fifth round of the campaign. The product quality and delivery volumes have been increasing from year to year.  Our philosophy is to improve living standards, spur development and help diversify the areas of employment  in the regions. Following the last year tradition the sugar beet harvesters have received sugar packs as presents this year too.   

Such rapid development of sugar beet cultivation activities in Azerbaijan over quite short period of 5 years and achievements made in this field are natural consequences of our employees’ dedication to the company and its philosophy. It is especially worth mentioning that in the frame of the 5th in series of such campaigns the farmers were introduced an innovation of the year - 2000 beet planters have received ATM cards making it convenient for them to get paid for deliveries. "AŞİB AGRO" LLC will continue to come up with service innovations every year and then present them to us and people of Azerbaijan.
