AZERSUN HOLDING HAS SPONSORED “MUGAM FESTIVAL AGENDA” SUMMARY BROADCASTING BY LIDER TV

The “World of Mugam” international mugam music festival was held in Baku, on March 18-25 in the framework of “Baku is the Capital of Islamic Culture” culture year under the auspices of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic, Association of Azerbaijani Composers and through the organizational support of the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic, National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani Culture Friends Foundation.

The first event, held in the framework of International Mugam Festival, which has gathered mugam performers from more than 40 countries worldwide, was “the World of Mugam” international symposium, followed by mugam singers contest over 22-24 of March. The 20 most talented mugam performers from 11 countries have joined the contest. The Grand Prix went to Tayyar Bayramov of Azerbaijan, while the winners of the first, second and third places were Yulduz Turdiyev from Uzbekistan, Mohammad Motamidi from Iran and Mustafa Said from Egypt respectively.

It is worth mentioning that Azersun Holding, demonstrating firm respect to Azerbaijani national values, and following its well-established traditions has arranged for TV broadcasting of the festival’s summary on Lider TV through the support of Azercay, its affiliate. Thus, the detailed summary of all developments taking place during the days of festival has been broadcasted on TV in evening specials.
