AZERSUN HOLDINGS GROUP OF COMPANIES RECEIVES A PROGRESS AWARD

On 22nd of July with the support of the embassy and chamber of commerce of the Russian federation in Azerbaijan, a Progress award presentation was held. The award was given following business results for 2007 and was founded by the Russian chamber of business cooperation, the main sponsor of which was the Azersun Holding Group of Companies. The tasting stands erected by the company and decorated in a national style, attracted the interest of participants.

Azersun Holding which provides internal food security of Azerbaijan, exporting food products to many countries, provides these countries with high quality food products. One of the main export destinations of the Group is Russia which has been enjoying the produce of Azersun for more than a decade.

Azerchay and Maryam teas, conserve products, especially a variety of jams which are widely available in the Russian market all, periodically, receive the highest awards. The products of Azersun Holdings are entered in different competitions in Moscow and other Russian cities and in one such contest, in which over 50 companies took part, 13 were awarded Progress awards for participation in Azerbaijan/Russian trade and economic relations.

Among the companies to gain such awards was Azersun Holdings. The specific award gained was for “Export of food products to Russia”.

The award was presented to Azersun’s director of marketing and export, Rakhmi Yashar by the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Azerbaijan, Vasiliy Istratov.
