"INTER-FOOD Azerbaijan 2007"

"Azersun Holding" Group of Companies, closely supporting the development of Azerbaijan's Economy sponsored "Inter-Food Azerbaijan 2007" International Exhibition.

Holding that plays an important role with its reforms carried out within the framework of Government Program on social-economical development of regions is also playing an irreplaceable role in activities carried out in non-oil field, improving the prosperity.

On 23.05.2007, "Interfood-2007" 13th Azerbaijan Food Industry and "Agrihor" 1st Azerbaijan International agriculture exhibitions were opened with main sponsorship of "Azersun Holding" Group of Companies and integrated organization of ITE Group PLC of Great Britain and "Iteca Caspian" LLC - their partner in Azerbaijan in Sports-Concert Complex named after Heydar Aliyev. The exhibition lasted for two days, till May 25th.

70 companies from 15 countries of the world presented their products and services at this exhibition.

Beef and poultry products, fruits and vegetables, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, fish and sea food, milk, ice-cream, oil and fat products, canned products, confectionery, bakery products, grocery products, tea and coffee, different equipment for food industry were presented at "InterFood Azerbaijan -2007" exhibition.

The exhibition was supported by Ministries of Agriculture and Economical Development, Chamber of Trade and Industry, Azerbaijan Fund of Instigation of Export and Investments, Azerbaijan Turkish Businessmen Unity.

Before the opening ceremony, the floor was given to Ismat Abbasov, the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan. Minister noted following during his speech: "It's now 13th time that we are participating at the opening of international food exhibition. I would like to express my deep gratitude to ITE Group PLC of Great Britain and "Iteca Caspian" LLC - their partner in Azerbaijan for development of this project. This exhibition is much larger than the past ones by the number of its participants. I would evaluate the large amplitude of this exhibition by the reason of comprehensive development of Azerbaijan today. The country started producing provisions in 1996 and the production is multiplying on a yearly basis.

President of main sponsor of "Interfood-2007" 13th Azerbaijan International Food Industry and "Agrihor" 1st Azerbaijan International agriculture exhibitions "Azersun Holding" Group of Companies Abdolbari Goozal greeted the guests and started his speech: "As distinct from other speakers, I would like to talk about our achievements in agriculture field".

Beside its potential in subterranean riches like oil deposits, Azerbaijan has large opportunities in agriculture field. I am very glad, that "Azersun Holding" is the main sponsor of agricultural field exhibition today. Because, I like the agriculture, the land very much. I am very connected to land and enjoy it very much. That is reason why "Azersun Holding" holds the first place in agriculture field of Azerbaijan and we have business relations with different countries. For instance, we have started farming activity on 3000 hectare field in Bilasuvar with "Valmond" company of America. At the same time we are carrying of researching works on that field.

Naturally, there are a lot of people engaged in business in Azerbaijan, there are a lot of businessmen in here and all of them are skilful businessmen. But, environment needs to be created for these businessmen. Current business environment in Azerbaijan and especially the activities carried out by Mr. Minister in the field and attention regarded to these issues by President Ilham Aliev is giving us a great enthusiasm.

Agriculture has already turned into a science. It is now impossible to gain positive results with old technology. We suffered losses for three consecutive years in agriculture field. Because we didn't completely know the needs of the land. If we could meet the needs of the land, it would have been easy for us.

Americans have a developed technology in agriculture field. We have an existing local market in agriculture field in Azerbaijan, and at the same time we have opportunities we can accomplish by transportation from Siberia.

People of Azerbaijan always support and inspire us. My message to foreign businessmen is - all employees of Azerbaijan are well-educated. If you direct them a little, they will own the business and will closely assist you in your business.

The future of Azerbaijan is very bright; and let us collectively participate in this brightness.

Vice-president of Chamber of Trade and Industry, Mehman Ahmadov, director of "Iteca Caspian" company Farid Mammadov took the floor at the ceremony and stated their opinion of this exhibition.

Speaker talked about the importance of the exhibitions, and stressed the Azerbaijan is currently comprehensively developing as a result of economical reforms carried out in our republic, as well as the Government Program on social-economical development of Regions carried out under leadership of President Ilham Aliyev has brought our republic to the line of rapidly developing countries.

After cutting the symbolic ribbon at the opening of the exhibition, participants familiarized with the exhibitions.

The interest for "Azersun Holding" stand was especially large. Change of advertising images on the floor using a projector with no analogues in Azerbaijan caused a great interest. Exhibit of provisions produced the holding establishments and tea stand were created at the stand. Tea was served to the exhibition guests.

"Azersun Holding" (Azerbaijan), "Ramstor" (Azerbaijan-Turkey), "Elektromaq" (Turkey), "Silcan White Cap" (Turkey), "Danfoss" (Russia), "Intermik" (Poland), "Anton Ohlert" (Germany), "Asepsistems" (Italy), "Fenko" (Italy), "Tasty Treat" (Spain), "Texnofud" (Italy), "Moi International" (Singapore), "Krbl Limited" (India), "Sri-Lanka Tea Board" (Sri-Lanka), and other companies were among exhibition participants.
