THE TRADITIONAL ANNUAL EXHIBITION, “WORLD FOOD – AZERBAIJAN” COMMENCED PROCEEDINGS

On 15th of May 2008, in the Sport – Concert Complex named after Heydar Aliyev, with the official support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Economic Development, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Export and Investment Promotion Foundation and the main sponsor, Azersun Holdings, the World Food - Azerbaijan, exhibition was launched.

The foremost companies from the country’s food sector were represented. This year, as with every year, Azersun’s stand was both exceptional and distinguished. The stand was designed to comply with all the requirements which follow the national traditions of Azerbaijan. The company’s brands represented and which were of great interest to those visiting the show, were, “ Bizim Tarla”, “Azerchay”, “Pasha”, “Final”, “Maryam”, “SuperSun”, “Vega”. As well as displaying products from Sun Tea Azerbaijan, the Caucasus tinned food factory, the Baku Oil factory, and the Imishli sugar factory; there was a performance of a Mugam Trio which presented a wealth of Azerbaijani culture in the performance of a boy fifing in the field, to the melody of Sari Gelin. In addition to the officials of the aforementioned departments being in attendance, there were also representatives from the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture, a representative from the Cuban Chamber of Commerce and representatives of several foreign companies.
