Role of youth in "Government Program for social-economical development of the Regions"

"Participation of youth in implementation of Government Program for social-economical development of the Regions" conference was conducted with organizational support of "Azersun Holding" in view of 84th birth anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and announcement of 2007 year as the year of youth.

On May 2nd 2007, "Participation of youth in implementation of Government Program for social-economical development of the Regions" conference was conducted at Baku Entertainment Center with organization of "Youth Center" Social Union, Youth Union of New Azerbaijan Party, Education Center for Youth and Youth and Sports Department of Baku City, and main sponsorship of "Azersun Holding" group of companies.

A number of deputies and guests from different organizations were invited to the conference. Deputy director of Social-Political department of Presidential Executive Apparatus Arastun Mehdiyev, president of National NGO Forum, deputy Azay Guliyev, deputy chief of NAP Youth Union Zaur Adigozalov, deputy chief of department of Ministry of Economical Development Shahin Panahov, deputy Panah Heydarov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev, Chief of Baku City Head Department for Youth and Sports Mammadhuseyn Musayev, director of Investments and Projects department of "Azersun Holding" group of companies Mehran Mammadov were among participants. Invited participants touched upon several subjects.

First of all, Chief of Baku City Head Department for Youth and Sports Mammadhuseyn Musayev took the floor. He talked about successful implementation of process for prosperity development of the nation by President Ilham Aliyev. Also, he talked about important role of the event and noted positive results of the program. He added that there were positive results looking at development tempo of the Republic of Azerbaijan during recent years.

During his speech, Deputy Director of Social-Political department of Presidential Executive Apparatus Arastun Mehdiyev assessed the "Participation of youth in implementation of Government Program for social-economical development of the Regions" topic as one the actual issues in society. Besides, he noted that expressing opinions regarding the processes happening in Azerbaijan was commendable. In addition, he noted that people appreciate the positive development of processes happening in society.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev talked about existence of several norms related to youth during recent years.

Later, the floor was given to Director of Investments and Project Department of "Azersun Holding" Group of Companies, Mehran Mammadov. Mehran Mammadov talked out continuous development and enlargement of successful activity and action field of "Azersun Holding" since 1992. At the same time, he noted that "Azersun Holding" has gained the title of leading company in non-oil sector of Azerbaijan relying on faith of people and reliability of the country by implementing large projects. He noted the leading, avant-garde role of youth in "Government Program on social-economical development of regions" and other fields of independent Azerbaijan. He stressed that youth were the leading force of "Azersun Holding".

Speaking participants talked about implementation of global government problems directed to rapid development of regions.

Works carried out in direction of implementation of duties put forth by Government programs, and gained achievements were mentioned during speeches.
