THE WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION HELD UNDER THE SUBJECT OF “KHODJALI GENOCIDE”.

The writing competition held among the journalists under the subject of “Support of propagandizing of Karabakh problem and Khodjali genocide in media” by financial support of Press Council of Azerbaijan, the Social Union “Introducing Khojali genocide” and “Azersun Holding” has been completed. Remembering ceremony of the martyrs dead in Khodjali tragedy was held in the Cultural Centre of “Azersun Holding” on February 25 and the winners of the mentioned competition were announced. Having speech in the ceremony the vice-president of “Azersun Holding” Tahir Gozelov emphasized importance of introduction of the tragedy to the world community.
The chairman of Press Council of Azerbaijan Aflatun Amashov stated in his speech implementation of large-scaled works in the direction of introduction of Karabakh problem, specially Khodjali genocide to the world community and in popularization of impartial position of our country. Aflatun Amashov stated: “Thanks to organization of different remembering ceremonies held in many places of the world, the international world is making acquainted with the tragic situations that our people met as the result of Armenia-Azerbaijan Daghlig Karabakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) conflict, as well as condemning our more than 1 million compatriots to living as refugees and temporary displaced people.”
     The next speaker, the chairman of board of judges of the competition, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Azerbaijan”, the deputy Bakhtiyar Sadigov spoke about importance of propaganda of realities of Karabakh conflict and Khodjali genocide via Azerbaijan media and announced the results of organized competition. According to the results:
The collaborator of the newspaper “Caspi” Sanan Nejefov is awarded by the first reward.
The collaborators of the newspaper “Adalat” (“Justice”) Jeyhun Musaoglu and of the newspaper “Karabakha aparan yol” (“A way leading to Karabakh”) Sariyya Muslimgizi are awarded by the second reward.
The collaborators of the newspaper “525-ji qazet” (“525th newspaper”) Rufik Ismayilov, the collaborator of the newspaper “Merkez” (Centre) Javahir Salimgizi and of the newspaper “Yeni Azerbaijan” (“New Azerbaijan”) Kabuter Hagverdiyeva are awarded by the third reward.
Saleh Garabaghli gained in research writing nomination.

The board of judges of the competition includes the deputy of the National Assembly Bakhtiyar Sadikhov, Elman Mammadov, the journalists Rashad Majid, Bahaddin Haziyev, the press secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs Elkhan Polukhov, the member of Employee Group of the State Commission upon Captive, missing and hostage people Mahir Javadli and the representative of Azerbaijan Diaspora Committee Elshad Miralam.
