Company Overview

Sun Tea packaging factory was commissioned by Azersun Holding in 1996 during the special ceremony attended by national leader Heydar Aliyev. The sophisticated high-power machinery park and the cutting edge management system certificates have all earned Sun Tea Azerbaijan a renowned place among tea processing factories across the CIS countries, enhancing its importance as one of the first overseas sponsored ventures in Azerbaijan.

With the average production volume of 9 thousand tonnes of tea bags, green tea, fruit flavoured tea varieties per year our company has already made it to the list of the leading companies region wide.

Sun Tea Azerbaijan is pleased to offer its customers the range of 5 unique tea brands each reflecting colourful customs and distinctive style of various countries.

The well equipped factory with a dynamic distribution network actively distributes its products across the region. Accordingly, the products have garnered numerous awards at tradeshows in Russia, Georgia, Central Asia and the CIS countries where our teas boast a strong market position.

ISO 9001:2000 - QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Sun Tea Azerbaijan was the first enterprise in Azerbaijan and the Group to embrace the 1994 version of the ISO 9000 Quality Management System Certificate in June, 1999. In compliance with the ISO procedures, the standard is due for review every 5 years to ensure it remains the state of art. The ISO 9001 standard sets out requirements which have to be fulfilled by the organization in order to increase customer satisfaction. The 2000 version was updated in 2000 and the same year the factory endorsed a new version of the ISO standard (ISO 9001:2000)

HACCP HOLLAND - FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) provides a management system approach to identify, assess and control the risk of biological, chemical and physical hazards that can be reduced at every stage of production from raw material to a ready-to-eat product including all levels within supply, production and distribution procedures. The HACCP standard is designed to track down and reduce the elements that may pose a risk to human health and safety.

ISO 14001 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The ISO 14001 standard exists to measure the impact of an organization on environment and provides a comprehensive framework to minimize its negative impacts on the environmental aspects. The ISO 14001 shows the level of commitment of an organization to environmental policy and its procedures. The standard offers a practical system to reduce the existing and potential risks of industrial waste streams on environment and therefore is widely known as the Environmental Management System.
